So I'm trying to sneak in this post before heading out for the night to see the OCAD Grad Show (Yea Grads!! uggghhh...I remember those days like they were yesterday.)
The shots I'm about to show you I find absolutely stunning and am just looking for an opportunity to utilize this technique for something. This first piece was created by Kari Herer. I remember spotting this image on Design*Sponge for the first time back in February and gasping at the beauty (dramatic yes..but true nonetheless!). I absolutely love the unity that is brought between the 2-dimensional sketch in the background and the gorgeous 3-dimensional flower in the foreground.
Take it all in...

Today I was flipping through the May 2010 issue of Real Simple Magazine and stumbled across some images by José Picayo and Jeffrey W. Miller. They reminded me of Keri's work and again left me agast. I just can't get enough of this mix of dimensions. I'm not even a flowery type of chick but it makes me want to start a collection of this type of work!! Again, absolutely stunning.

Beautiful work people!! Keep it coming.
And for those of you who are struggling to find the right birthday gift for yours truly, feel free to check out Kari's etsy shop (hint hint).
